Template Page

While normal pages have only one occurrence (e.g. a home page or a contact page), template pages are used to display multiple contents that are presented with the same graphic layout. For example, a product detail page of an e-commerce site is made up of a template page (which defines the structure of the page) and then the contents of the products that are displayed.

The frontend components of a template page must be designed to be parametric with respect to the data of the content(s) to be displayed.

The template pages are managed purely on the frontend and their modification on the CMS side is not foreseen. On the CMS side, only the contents (e.g. products) are modified, but the way in which that product is displayed on its detail page is hardwired into the frontend.
